FV Neuthard – FC Germania Karlsdorf – Ergebnis: 2:2

The trainer says this about the game:

Even in our last game of the season, our personnel situation did not improve and we went into the game against Karlsdorf in a very decimated manner. But none of this should be an excuse for us and we wanted to do everything we could to get the second derby win of the season.  

We started the game properly and were a little stronger than Karlsdorf. The pressing worked and we were able to dominate the game. Contrary to the course of the game, it failed in the 19 minute a clear abseit gate 1-0 for Karlsdorf. As is so often the case this season, we were impressed by it and were no longer present in the game. We lost the duels, had too many Ball losses and could not show us any noteworthy opportunities.  

After half-time we showed a different face and appeared more resolutely. In the 80 minute, after a corner of David Welsch, the ball fell to Jannis Hendricks‘ feet and this one transformed into an angle.  

You could feel that the 1: 1 was too little for us and we absolutely wanted to achieve the 2: 1.  

Alex Cavallaro dribbled his opponent well in the 83 minute and brought a precise flank to Yannick Max, who let his opponent get out and then to the left corner transformed. Unfortunately, Karlsdorf set the end point after a corner ball in the last minute and scored the 2-2.  

On both sides there were activities and unsports at the end of the game that lost nothing on a sports field and should have been punished with red cards.  

The points division is okay due to the course of the game.  

We were able to finish the season in fourth place in the table. This is a great success with this very young team, even if it is definitely possible to achieve the relegation would have been. The entire team thanks the numerous spectators for the support throughout the season.
